A new restaurant, a familiar neighbourhood, and a story I’ve been helping to tell since 2024.

A PLACE TO GET TO KNOW.
My work with Piano Piano began in 2024, as the team introduced a new Italian restaurant to Orwell Road in Rathgar, Dublin 6.
The collaboration grew with the restaurant: photographs and video, Instagram content, promotional materials and printed menus. I worked with the owners and kitchen team to bring the food, the people and the atmosphere into view.
Returning over time means there is always another detail to notice. A new dish. A familiar face behind the bar. The room before service. Together, these moments tell the story of a place getting to know its neighbourhood.
AT THE TABLE. BEHIND THE SCENES.
I photograph the food alongside the people and the room around it. Hands stretching dough, light across a table, a bowl of pasta held close. Together, these details give a sense of what it feels like to spend time here.
MORE THAN NEIGHBOURS.
Piano Piano’s collaboration with Rathgar Junior School and Kindergarten brought local children into the restaurant for hands-on pizza workshops.
For a new restaurant, getting to know the neighbourhood happens around the table as well as online. The workshops gave children a chance to take part in making the food, and connected the restaurant with a school in its own community.
It is a part of this ongoing story I want to show alongside the dishes and the design: the restaurant becoming part of everyday life in Rathgar.

MADE FOR THE FEED.
Food that makes you stop scrolling. People who make the place feel alive. Thoughtful design that turns everyday updates into recognisable content.
Photography, Reel covers and green-and-cream graphics sit together in a rhythm of food, faces and practical updates: Early Bird, cocktails and a pop-up night.
A LITTLE MOVEMENT.
Video adds the gestures a still photograph leaves open: dough being stretched, a drink being poured, a plate arriving at the table.
FROM THE FEED TO THE TABLE.
In 2026, I redesigned six menu pages, covering the main menu, Early Bird, desserts and the children’s menu.
The focus was on clear sections, readable type and a consistent layout across the set.
THE STORY CONTINUES.
I’m still working with Piano Piano. There will be new dishes, more time around the table and more stories to tell.
