Book Series Cover Design
On this project, I had the opportunity to design new covers for three books by renowned writer Olivia Laing: “The Lonely City”, “To the River”, and “The Trip to Echo Spring”.
Through this work, I was able to apply my graphic design skills and create something beautiful and unique.To create each cover, I used Megazoid fonts for the book titles and Superclarendon for the main text on all covers. The main element of each cover was a photograph that I created myself. My knowledge and skills in photography and design allowed me to convey the theme and mood of each book.
The color scheme of each cover was bright and attractive, making it easier for readers to find these books in bookstores and promoting their sales.
“The Lonely City” cover uses pink and blue colors that convey the feeling of loneliness and distance in a big city.
“To the River” has a yellow and blue cover that conveys the feeling of harmony with nature and calmness.
“The Trip to Echo Spring” has a red and yellow cover that reflects the tension and strong emotions of the book’s characters.
